The Church, especially in the past but even today, is the idea that Quentin Tarantino would of Christianity. Common sense, as well as many historical documents (the Bible itself in some sparkling passages, or the wonderful price list of indulgences contained in Taxa Camarao issued by Pope Leo X) give the idea of \u200b\u200ba Church cynical, resolute against the enemy, devoted to money and entrepreneurship, succubus and creator of maneuvers worthy of the ferocious power of statesmen, qualità che si sommano alle più note (bigottismo, oscurantismo, intolleranza). Jesus on the cross itself has become, in its original humility, a global symbol of ruthless and powerful engine of a brand revered and protected, directly or indirectly responsible for the worst social disasters in the world (just think of the massacres of imperialism or the holy Catholic inquisition, medieval zenith of ignorance). Fill rows on rows of sull'insensatezza religious magical thinking, as well as lavish a trivial clerical discourse, it would be too easy: they are both subjects of discussion in which even the most devout Catholic would find itself in blatant inferiority, overwhelmed by the amount of such rational evidence to impose a single way of rationally fuga, ossia la fede (comodo e caldo caposaldo di stregoni, sacerdoti e religiosi da migliaia di anni a questa parte). Come già ricordavo in altri contesti che, come questo, call into question our most visceral belief, the debate stops, positions remain unchanged (for a cause, the other for result), stops the flow of culture and ignorance prevails, supported by the numbers, and a marketing and a power capable of guaranteeing them generation after generation. The rest, as we know, is history. Instead, what is more interesting in this context, is to analyze the figure of the founder of that same movement, ie Jesus, not in its divine connotations (not proven, if not thousands of years old stories written by shepherds indeed easily emotional), but in its purely human characteristics.
Gesù ha pure precorso i time of the feminist movement (the real one), proposing a joint company in which they would not find place nor the ruthless machismo nor regrettable sale of the female body that is rampant on television and in contemporary society (with the approval of medieval boys and girls clearly prevail ambitious even in democratic voting locations). The militarization of nations, as well as the exploitation of weak countries for economic interests (energy), would not have existed in a truly Christian world. Ultimately, the most powerful evidence that a man could ever take his eyes (ie the world itself) is a relentless demonstration that Christianity has failed, how many and what are beautiful cathedrals built in his name. Bella, a lovely idea, but the practice does not exist. A bit 'like communism and the Middle Earth of Tolkien.
is not my intention, mind you, concluded with a burst of atheism as an end in itself. The absence of a religion does not have to configure itself as the only possible position in front of existence: even a more human as religious, pathetically (from a certain point of view) but certainly understandably turned to uncertainty as rational life after death and the search for a meaning to existence, deserves respect. On the other hand, several studies have investigated the spin human believe, to create meaningful connections from the real situation is not necessarily realistic or even low, so as to find meaningful patterns in data, feelings or circumstances, random, vague, or totally irrelevant. All this because nature has awarded the evolutionarily care beginning for purposes related to mere survival (in those cases where the false negative could cost you your life habit ...), then successfully applied over time to show, demons, ghosts and various deities (the concept of patternicity and agenticity of Michael Shermer ). The magical thinking and religious, in fact, deeply its roots in our ancient biology are therefore not here to criticize the instinctive need as such (in case they lead to critical consequences when wars, intolerance, bigotry, corruption, bias and injustice), I am here to criticize the instrumentalization and the extremes of this need, that is when the fears become more unquestionable, the differences become discrimination, injustice and discrimination. And 'why, from passionate admirer of Jesus as a historical figure, I can not help but criticize and ridicule the Catholic history. So why not stop with the stupid magic and curtail the religious tradition that makes everything weak in a rational debate - at least worthy of the twenty-first century? Why not get rid of those texts "sacred" but clearly inspired by earlier folk tales, full of macabre nonsense written by ignorant and backward, distillation, if anything (by means of a coherent interpretation of the text) only instruction culturally sensible to hand down under shared inheritance of hundreds of generations of men? Why not focus on the message text more closely to historical truth as the Gospel that - minus the folk narrative - about the life and, ultimately, the intentions of Jesus himself made man? Why not set aside the main weakness of the Christian religion as well as la conosciamo ora (ossia l'insensatezza di testi, ritualità e superstizioni, difetto che invero condivide un po' con tutte le religioni) portandola ad essere una più moderna filosofia del viver giusto e bene, costruita sugli insegnamenti di un uomo saggio che nulla avrebbe voluto di tutta questa Chiesa, né il potere, né il prestigio, né le faraoniche cattedrali, né l'imbarazzante successione di disgustose distorsioni delle sue parole e delle sue intenzioni?
The Old Testament sells fear and guilt, the New Testament is a good code of ethics. But (...) the message has never practiced. Fairytales to build churches. (The man from Earth)
What is lacking and needed in view of the Catholic religious (as in the religious landscape in general) is ultimately a update. And 'necessary in short, starting from the individual believer up until the ecclesiastical authority, be given top priority to critical and historical review, in order to convert the old traditions and secular dogmas in new directions, toward which to direct a new generation of the faithful no longer stifled by ignorance and bigotry but reasonably proud of their identity, an update intellectual reawakens the original message of Christ and it drags all the saving benefits in the new millennium a servizio e ad esempio dell'intera umanità.
